A weekend getaway to the Georgia Wine Country in the Northern Georgia mountains is the perfect solution being parents of small children. It is close to home and we often take day trips to spend the day touring the various winery's.

Yes you heard me right! Georgia has many winery's to select from. By far our favorite time to go is in the fall when the leaves are changing on the trees and we have the opportunity to take in the beautiful sites of the mountains, vineyards and take in the shopping in Dahlonega Georgia.

It is a very special place to go spend the day and have a quiet relaxing lunch while sitting outside at Frogtown winery, which overlooks the beautiful grape fields. Not to mention the awesome tasting wine. There is nothing more relaxing to do and when you are finished with lunch you are a short drive from great shopping in Dahlonega.
